Horn Arrangements

For a track that needs the extra kick that only a horn section can provide. With any configuration of horns from just trumpet and saxophone, to a six-piece, to an orchestra-sized section, my horn arrangements come custom formatted, with full transposition, and can include extra parts in case a show or recording features a different horn section line up than usual. I always write around the melody and seamlessly integrate the horn section into a song.

Your event

For corporate events, weddings, or parties of any kind, the John Nicholson Du0, Trio, Quartet, or Quintet will provide an atmosphere that clients continue to rave about.

string/orchestral arrangements

Some songs need the force of an entire orchestra behind them. Some need a string quartet. One might need violin, cello, bassoon, flugelhorn, and lap steel guitar. I arrange for any and every set of instruments, and, with a contacts list of top-of-the-line session musicians, can have them recorded for you.

vocal arrangements

Arrangement of up to 6-part backing vocals. Just tell me about each singer and their range, and I will provide backing vocals which create interest but remain behind the melody. I also always include midi tracks for the group and individual parts so that everyone can learn their parts before hitting the studio or stage.

Saxophone/Clarinet/voice

From my home studio. I write and/or record tenor, alto, and soprano saxophones as well as clarinet, bass clarinet, and backup vocals. With an extensive network of session musicians in Toronto and around the world, I can have your entire track recorded by high-level professionals on nearly every instrument.
